Jardin Bio, the organic food specialist, invites you to discover the benefits of organic farming - an approach launched in the 1970s and dedicated towards environmental protection and biodiversity.

What does the AB label mean?

This quality label, which is visible on all of our products, guarantees that at least 95% of the ingredients are obtained using organic farming methods. The label is granted by the Ministry of Agriculture.

It guarantees that we have implemented all of the essential regulations in order to provide you with first-class organic produce. Our certifying body, Ecocert, regularly checks our installations, products and the agricultural origin of our ingredients.

Respecting the soil - an ethical approach and know-how:

Organic farming complies with the ecosystem because the use of synthetic, chemical fertilisers, herbicides, fungicides and pesticides, which may prove harmful to health, is prohibited. This reduces the risk of pollution in the ground water and in agricultural production (plants are harvested and then transformed).

Agricultural quality versus quantity:

Organic farmers practise crop rotation so as not to deplete soil resources. Natural fertilisers are used: organic compost and horse dung, which are rich in trace elements, thus promoting optimal nutritional and organoleptic properties. The fruit and vegetables are harvested when reaching maturity, when they're at most tasty.

Organic growing methods require more time and attention than intensive farming. Higher costs are incurred but the quality is better. The seeds are guaranteed to be non-GMO.

Jardin Bio is a member of the organic movement and is committed to devoting 1% of its net turnover to this worthy cause.
